Policy Committee
The Parent Policy Committee (PC) is the Head Start & Early Head Start policy body that has a shared decision-making responsibility by approving various areas of program operations. We require a parent representative and an alternative parent representative PC from each Head Start & Early Head Start class. The groups are led by Robert’s Rule of Order and based on the PC Bylaws. PC Meetings are held every fourth Monday.
51% or more of the voting members must be Head Start or Early Head Start parents/guardians of children enrolled in the program.
The Twin Rivers Unified School District Board of Trustees has the responsibility for making policy for the District. Some of the individuals who have responsibilities for carrying out the policies are the District Superintendent (or designee), the school principal, and the Head Start Policy Committee.
